El Camino Real High School in Los Angeles has won the National Academic Decathlon for a record sixth time. The nine-member team beat out more than 300 others for the win Saturday in Omaha, Neb. El Camino Real earned 49,951 points out of a possible 60,000 in the quiz competition that began Wednesday

UC Davis falls to Southern Utah

CEDAR CITY, Utah — Major Gray rushed for four touchdowns, three of them in the first half, and Southern Utah broke a second-quarter tie with 21 unanswered points before halftime in a 56-35 victory over UC Davis on Saturday. Gray finished with just 74 rushing yards but scored three times from the 1 and another time from the 12, tying a school record for touchdowns in a game. Cade Cooper threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns for the Thunderbirds (4-4, 2-1 Great West)
