Historic downtown Sacramento street clock to get facelift
The Sacramento City Council Tuesday approved fixing up a street clock dating to the 1920s. A total of $24,000 will be used to restore the Fred Mayes Jewelers’ street clock that sits at 10th and J streets. “I look forward to being with the mayor and others in the near future to have the dedication and watch that clock keep time again,” said City Councilman Ray Tretheway.
