Get ready for normal Sacramento summer temperatures

After a week of unusual highs and lows, this week will see a return to normal summer temperatures for the Sacramento region, the National Weather Service says. Bill Grant, 86, heads down Sacramento’s I Street on Saturday on the way back to his apartment, navigating sprinklers and a wet sidewalk. The National Weather Service pegs today’s high in Sacramento at 77 degrees, but temperatures are expected to warm up through midweek.

Task Forces Seize over $100 Million in Methamphetamine and Cocaine

On August 19, 2010, at 7:05 a.m., the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s multi-agency drug task forces (Cal-MMET, HIDTA, and ADACAET) concluded a year-long investigation into a major Mexico-based drug trafficking organization operating in Sacramento and throughout California’s Central Valley. The investigation resulted in the arrest of three Mexican nationals, and the seizure of over 459 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 15 pounds of cocaine, $35,000 in cash, and 2 firearms. Investigators estimate the street value of the seized methamphetamine and cocaine to be over $100 million

Three Brothers Arrested in Connection with Deadly Shooting

On August 5, 2010, Sacramento Cou – August 4, 2010 nty Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau detectives arrested three brothers in connection to a shooting on May 8, 2010, that resulted in the death of 29-year-old Marcel Hatch.
