Traditionally, the already heavy volume of mail handled at the facility surges on this day as thousands of last-minute taxpayers rush to beat the IRS’ midnight deadline for filing their returns.
IRS searching for recipients of refund checks
The Internal Revenue Service is looking for you … in a good way. The IRS said it’s trying to find more than 15,000 California taxpayers owed a combined $16.65 million in refund checks that were returned to the IRS by the U.S.
