A swastika was found inside a UC Davis residence hall Sunday night, marking the sixth time the Nazi-era symbol was found on the campus in the last two weeks. Acting Sacramento City Manager Gus Vina was elevated to interim city manager Wednesday. In announcing Vina’s appointment, Mayor Kevin Johnson said Vina will hold the post for the next nine to 12 months until a permanent replacement is picked by the mayor and council.
