City drops nuisance suit against Sacramento bar
The Sacramento City Attorney’s Office has dropped its nuisance lawsuit against a north side sports bar where neighbors said that drunken rowdies had been keeping them up at night. Officials dropped the case against the American Spirit Sports Bar on Northgate Boulevard when the owners agreed to get rid of the live DJs, live bands, dancing and karaoke. “We had a couple meetings with the property owners and the Police Department and we came to the realization that the increased (police) calls for service were happening when the property was having entertainment events,” Senior Deputy City Attorney Michael J
Woodland police break up brawl outside bar, arrest one
One man was arrested, and at least one person was injured early this morning during a fight involving 50 to 60 people in the parking lot of a Woodland bar. A Woodland police sergeant spotted the fight about 2 a.m. outside Tony’s Bar at 607 East St., according to a Police Department news release.
