Mother of 4-month-old baby found dead arrested

Jennifer Blanchette Sacramento County authorities arrested the mother of a 4-month-old baby girl who was found dead in her bassinette inside a Rancho Cordova apartment on Friday afternoon. Sacramento County Sheriff’s child abuse detectives said they determined that Jennifer Blanchette, 40, “willfully caused the baby’s death by failing to attend to the needs of the child,” according to a news release on Tuesday.
