San Francisco school officials have voted to send out pink slips to nearly 900 teachers and administrators, and this time Superintendent Carlos Garcia says some of them will eventually be let go. The school board approved the layoff notices Tuesday to help plug an expected $113 million budget deficit over the next two years. Teachers must be informed whether they will be laid off by March 15, a state-imposed deadline.
