Sacramento County public safety agencies face cuts

Sacramento County public safety officials on Tuesday outlined cuts their departments face if the Board of Supervisors moves forward with a plan to cut $14 million from this year’s $2 billion general fund budget. A dozen sheriff’s deputy positions, training for probation officers and a vacant district attorney position were just some of the cuts discussed at Tuesday’s midyear budget hearing
