Runners take off from the start of the 27th annual California International Marathon Sunday, December 6, 2009 in Folsom. More than 14,000 runners are expected to take on this year’s event. A final push by Ethiopian Tesafaye Girma-Bekele gave him the victory in today’s California International Marathon, nine seconds ahead of American Josh Cox.
