SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Public Health is warning consumers not to eat Chen PiMei Candy imported from China and Ticorindo Candy from Mexico after tests found unacceptable levels of lead. State public health director Mark Horton says both candies were found to contain as much as .14 parts per million of lead. California considers candies with lead levels in excess of .10 parts per million to be contaminated.
